“The purpose of this organization shall be to make the University of Rhode Island a safer, better place by raising
awareness about how our campus needs to be made accessible to people who possess a range of abilities and how a
lack of accessible facilities and situations can affect anyone. With SMAC, we can foster an informative, supportive
environment for students with varying abilities. SMAC will also raise money through fundraising for Disability Services at the University of Rhode Island.”
